Hampshire County Council have partnered with the Climate Ambassadors scheme to run a fully funded online climate action planning workshop for schools in Hampshire.

Climate Ambassadors is a programme supporting the UK Government’s ambition for all education settings to have a climate action plan in place by the end of 2025.

During the workshop, we will provide:

    • information on the DfE Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy
    • direct you to programmes and resources to help you with climate action planning
    • support you in developing actions for your climate action plan.

Following further refinement and discussion we hope that you will be able to put a climate action plan into operation and help take climate and nature action in your education setting.

This event is aimed at primary and secondary schools in Hampshire, including Headteachers/Principals, Operations Leads, Governors and Trustees, Sustainability Leads and teachers.

This free event is open to children in Years 5 to 8 and offers a morning of engaging, practical online workshops. Pupils will explore sustainable initiatives both locally and globally, gaining insight into climate action and environmental stewardship. The conference will also showcase inspiring climate projects from Hampshire schools. It is a fantastic opportunity to deepen climate education and empower young people to take meaningful action in response to the climate crisis.

Schools are invited to log in to the conference directly from their classrooms and take part in the workshops delivered by experienced providers.

These sessions are designed to be interactive and inspiring, helping pupils connect with sustainability themes in meaningful ways.
