  • There are 12 places per cohort/term.  If applications exceed this number, successful candidates will be offered a place on the following term.

    Higher Level Teaching Assistant status is achieved by undergoing a three-and-a-half-day preparation for assessment course delivered by an approved Provider of Preparation (e.g. Hampshire Teaching and Leadership College), followed by assessment by a Regional Provider of Assessment. The three course is coaching in preparation of material for assessment, it is not training for the HLTA role. There is an application process for places.
