Background

There are 12 places per cohort/term.  If applications exceed this number, successful candidates will be offered a place on the following term.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant status is achieved by undergoing a three day preparation for assessment course delivered by an approved Provider of Preparation (e.g. Hampshire Teaching and Leadership College), followed by assessment by a Regional Provider of Assessment. The three day course is coaching in preparation of material for assessment, it is not training for the HLTA role. There is an application process for places.
